
Media advertising has been a trend from past 5 -10 years, these days media is paying huge sum of money for their adds, the main target for these add agencies are the young population, and crowd that follow their stars madly, for the brands to maintain their influence on their customer even they are making smart choice, for them changing models is a part of fashion, for them it pays.
Take the example of PEPSI, King khan who was the lead icon for PEPSI is being replaced by two new comer Ranbir Kapoor, and king Khan’s launch Depika Padhukone is now replacing him. Government Cell phone company CELL ONE even changed its brand Icon from our own Pretty Prety Zinta to youth hot favourite Depika Padhukone.
This changing is not only applicable to hot models but also those who are involved in gossips, may be they are MEN IN BLUE - like Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, or couple like Bebbo and Saif Ali khan( Airtel). A similar story is applicable for blued eye Aishwarya Rai who ruled the hearts of many is now being replaced by beauty diva Katrina kaif for Nakhstra Diamond.
The main reason for such a switch over is simply because the crowd loves the gossiped couple or player for that matter to be on screen. This forms the motive for these media agencies to take them as their lead models and the fact remains same as old is replaced by the new one.
Although I guess this fact is realized by some of our Actor like Sharukh Salman and Amir so now even they are trying to get their shape toned up and all have pulled up their socks to get their age down so that they could be associated with media and maintain their market value.
But replacing the old with new is a part of life and trend, what was new earlier is old now and what is new today will get older tomorrow, what remains still is media wants something exciting and something they can sell even he is old as Big B.
