Does Education Mean Money?

I may not be able to completely justify my title but the theme of my blog is straightforward, does education today is limited to amount of money your bank account has? There was a time when higher education was a symbol of hard work, diligence, I cannot say it’s completely ruled out but yes it has reduced significantly.

Today the quality of education is decided by less of capability and more by the bank balance, let it be an admission in Kindergarten school or be it an admission in DPS RK Puram. There are plethora of educational institutes today where any one could go and walk back with a degree, provided they have a fat balance. We Indians are considered as the best minds of the world, or may be one of the best, if this is what makes a best mind I guess the voice would no longer be worth listening.

First take the example of Engineering Institutes, UPTU has more than 1000 colleges providing educations to more than lakhs of student out which few lakhs graduate every year, there was time when a person with B.Tech was admired by the whole society, now its just a degree, today colleges have huge fees for their seats, they use that money to open a new department in the University so that they can earn more money. I have been a part of Private University and I have seen such thing there, being a govt. owned body still they have high fees for general candidates and provide a nominal facility to their students.

Coming to medical institutes, today private colleges are now selling their seats for the sake of raising money, papers are leaked out before the examinations so that fat account holders can get their seats reserved. Today the need is to make a vigilant body to make a tight scrutiny over such institutes to check their credibility, otherwise Indian talent would be just on the basis of money not on the basis of hard work.

Don’t just read this blog but discuss it, it may ignite the fire of long dormant volcano, and may be the future of our generation could be more prosperous.

Yes education means money. Why do we study? For building a career for secure future. And secure future means to have access to resources for good life.

I got the theme of your blog. That's why I said education means money. education means to earn money. It's a business. That's why people have to heavy amount as fees in the institutions. By getting education in those so called reputed institutions the students want to get skills for earning money.

That's the result of growing sense of careerism and professionalism among the students. That's why students these days prefer to pursue the professional courses.

education today is a business and the objective of education is to create businessmen. The results of education depend up on the investment you have made. All starts with money and ends with money.

It's not possible to get quality education without paying adequately these days. In fact in most of cases students belonging to poor families can't afford. You do need bank balance. It's the kind of dual education policy with in one state. One who can pay will get better education and other who don't have resources can't.
